Joash’s Reign

24:1 Joash was seven years old when he began to reign. He reigned for forty years in Jerusalem. ¹  His mother was Zibiah, who was from Beer Sheba.

25:1 Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. ²  His mother was Jehoaddan, who was from Jerusalem.

27:1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. ³  His mother was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

Hezekiah Consecrates the Temple

29:1 Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. ⁴  His mother was Abijah, ⁵  the daughter of Zechariah.

Sennacherib Invades Judah

32:1 After these faithful deeds were accomplished, King Sennacherib of Assyria invaded Judah. He besieged the fortified cities, intending to seize them. ⁶

32:22 The Lord delivered Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem from the power of King Sennacherib of Assyria and from all the other nations. ⁷  He made them secure on every side. ⁸

32:32 The rest of the events of Hezekiah’s reign, including his faithful deeds, are recorded in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz, included in the Scroll of the Kings of Judah and Israel. ⁹

Jehoiakim’s Reign

36:5 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem. ¹¹  He did evil in the sight of ¹²  the Lord his God.
